National Railroad Safety Week
Posted Date:
9/28/2017
Union Pacific Railroad recently launched a public campaign to educate drivers and pedestrians about the importance of using caution near the railroad tracks.
Union Pacific Railroad has invited us to help increase safety by sharing the attached video spots.. This week is National Rail Safety week, and with all their efforts to raise rail safety awareness, now is a time to share.

Viewers follow hurried drivers tempted to race trains across railroad tracks and choose their ending by clicking “cross” or “don’t cross” options in the Your Life is Worth the Wait videos. Each choice leads to different endings illustrating the importance of waiting for trains to pass. Try choosing your ending at www.up.com/worththewait.

Crossing the train tracks to save a few minutes is a life or death decision. If the red lights are flashing and the crossing arms are down, a train is coming, even if you can't see or hear it. Trains can't stop, but you can.

Animated videos explain that trains are not as loud as most people think and highlight the dangers of taking photos on railroad tracks. Check them out at up.com/photosafety. Thanks for helping Union Pacific keep our community safe.
